Inspiration

Administrators spend a lot of time on manual administration work and keeping the system clean.

Such automation helped to free time for the administrator
It gives users the ability to create projects much faster by avoiding the communication loop
The system stays cleaner if users create things only in a predefined way as it should
Such a way is better aligned with the Change Management approach

What it does

The app automatically creates projects by JSM request. Admin manages what requestor can create.

How we built it

On forge. With power shortages. Under russian rockets and drones... But what is more important, in a friendly atmosphere, together, and with fun! 💙💛

Challenges we ran into

It was quite a task to align the admin and requestor. Minimize their actions. And keep in mind edge cases.

What's next for Self-Service — Project Creation

Oh, It's a good question! Self-Service could do much much more. A bunch of configurations and different options may (and will) be automated. Users may make any of the predefined changes, which will be covered by Change Management, secure, and fast!
