We were a building a self-driving car till a couple hours before the deadline. Then we decided to pivot and built a Leap motion powered, remote display, remotely controlled vehicle. We were close but didn't quite have the time to integrate all the parts together.
Moonshot project that crashed and burned in spectacular fashion. But it was a ton of fun!
Parts we completed: Computer Vision - successful image segmentation of objects in live video Data - Collection of GPS and accelerometer data in real time and transmitting it using Sockets.io Input - Successful input from Leap Motion device to remotely drive the car
Things missing: End-to-end integration - we didn't have time to serially stream user input data to the Arduino
