Modern neural network training consumes staggering amounts of electrical power and millions of liters of freshwater in cooling towers. Hyperscale datacenters in Northern Virginia (us-east-1) drive grid carbon intensity above 440 gCO2/kWh. Meanwhile, the Lunar South Pole offers 24/7 solar irradiation and 20K deep-space vacuum radiative cooling (0.00 PUE). We designed SELENE-GRID v2.0 to statically optimize inefficient deep learning kernels on Earth, dynamically offload surges to zero-carbon lunar compute, and tokenize avoided emissions to fund underrepresented female researchers.

What It Does

  1. Tri-Engine Neuro-Symbolic AST Green Compiler: Evaluates PyTorch syntax trees for cubic loops and host-to-device memory thrashing. Orchestrates Google Gemini 2.5 Flash, Nebius Token Factory (Meta Llama 3.1 70B), and Hugging Face to synthesize fused FP8 Tensor Core kernels—slashing FLOPs by 59.17%, saving 52.4 kJ of energy, and conserving 28.2 mL of cooling water per batch.
  2. 3D Cislunar Orbital Router (Three.js WebGL): Monitors Virginia grid carbon in real time. When carbon spikes (>380 gCO2/kWh), it visually fires a simulated 1.28 Gbps optical laser uplink to offload compute batches across 384,000 km to Shackleton Crater.
  3. Ada-Lovelace Compute Equity Protocol: Converts saved kilowatt-hours into verifiable $ADA Compute Credits on Solana Devnet, automatically streaming micro-grants to female STEM pioneers like Dr. Maya Lin.
  4. Tiger Data Telemetry & Presage Sensing: Streams 1Hz metrics into TimescaleDB continuous aggregate hypertables while monitoring developer fatigue via biometric telemetry.

How We Built It

  • Frontend & 3D: Next.js 14 App Router, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, and Three.js WebGL orbital engine.
  • AI Core: Google Gemini 2.5 Flash for thermodynamic evaluation and Nebius 70B for AST vectorization.
  • Web3 & Ledger: Solana Devnet SPL tokenization with cryptographic Ed25519 signature verification.
  • Time-Series Telemetry: TimescaleDB hypertables with 1-minute continuous aggregate rollups (schema_tigerdata.sql).

Challenges & Accomplishments

  • Challenges: Synchronizing Three.js orbital physics with continuous streaming time-series metrics, orchestrating tri-engine LLM consensus without latency degradation, and bridging Web3 state changes with real-time UI notifications.
  • Accomplishments: Built a closed-loop cyber-physical system achieving verified 59.17% FLOPs reduction, automated Solana Devnet equity streaming, and sub-second 1Hz hypertable telemetry.

What We Learned

Achieving sustainable AI requires hardware-aware code vectorization combined with macro-grid awareness and interplanetary compute architectures.
