Inspiration

SelamAI was inspired by the need for accessible, private, and gentle mental health support. Many people struggle to check in with themselves regularly, and traditional mental health resources can feel intimidating or stigmatized. We wanted to create a digital companion that encourages emotional awareness and calm reflection.

What it does

SelamAI is an AI-powered mental health check-in assistant that helps users monitor and reflect on their emotional well-being. Through short, guided conversations, it encourages consistent self-check-ins, promotes mindfulness, and supports healthy mental habits without replacing professional care.

How we built it

• Backend: Flask framework with SQLite3 for user management and storing check-ins
