Inspiration Segregation/Teacher Selection Equality/Needs Based

Segregation-The action or state setting someone or something apart from other people or things or being set apart. De facto segregation exists by practice and custom.

The issue is that schools ranging from grade school through college face a division based on reputation of higher achieving schools vs lower performing schools in the field of academics. Highly qualified individuals who apply for positions within school systems tend to seek career opportunities at institutions that have a reputation for higher achievements when their skillsets and talents are needed more at lower performing institutions.

What it does

This program will substitute the current application process for individuals seeking employment in the education sector eliminating the current process of teachers selecting a specific school. This program will allow instructors to enter specific information such as: name, DOB, professional preference, desire work region, etc. The program will also host a questionnaire that will be divided into segments to determine a candidate’s level of integrity, reliability, forgiveness, patience, as well as other categories. This data will then be used to match the compatibility of the individual so that they will be placed at an institution that is compatible to their personality, while factoring in a specific institution’s need.

How I built it

It was designed using Visual Studio.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge encountered during this project was trying to figure our how we were going to solve this issue of teacher equality.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

What I learned

We learned how to work with one another and communicate effectively as a team.

What's next for Segregation/Teacher Selection Equality/Needs Based
