Inspiration

Access to quality skill training in rural India is limited, yet the demand for green jobs like solar panel installation is rapidly growing. We wanted to bridge this gap by building a platform that delivers AI-powered, localized, and practical learning paths — designed for rural youth to learn in simple language, anytime, anywhere.

What it does

Seekho AI generates a 7-module solar panel technician course tailored to rural learners.

  • Each module comes with lessons written at an 8th-grade reading level, using analogies from village life.
  • Learners can chat with an AI tutor that answers both text and image-based questions.
  • The platform is mobile-first and lightweight, making it accessible in rural areas.

How we built it

  • Backend: FastAPI with Google Gemini API integration for curriculum, lessons, and AI tutoring.
  • Frontend: React + Vite + Tailwind CSS for a modern, mobile-first design.
  • Tutor: Multimodal AI that handles both text and image queries.
  • Hosting: Local prototype deployment with Uvicorn and Vite dev server . ## Challenges we ran into
  • Parsing and validating AI-generated JSON reliably.
  • Handling multimodal AI input (text + image) smoothly.
  • Ensuring the lessons are simple yet accurate, without drifting into overly technical jargon.
  • Time constraints to polish both backend + frontend within the hackathon.

What's next for SeekhoAI

  • Add support for multiple green skills courses (Electrician, Organic Farming, EV Maintenance).
  • Translate curriculum into regional languages for wider adoption.
  • Build an offline-first PWA for rural areas with poor connectivity.
  • Add gamification (badges, quizzes, progress tracking) to boost engagement.
  • Partner with NGOs and training centers to pilot Seekho AI in rural communities.
