Inspiration

There are little current web applications which solely targets environmental issues and attempts to encourage individuals to recycle actively. As such, we want to provide a platform that allows users to track the amount of materials that they have recycled while simultaneously earning points which can be traded for rewards. The platform was aimed to be accessible, easy to use for all.

What it does

Our web app consists of a tracker function that allows users to keep track of the number of recycled materials they recycled each day. Each recycled material will award users 1 point in which they are able to redeem various incentives such as Grab Vouchers, etc with the points they have accumulated.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

We did not have any react experience and were unfamiliar with the workflow as well as syntax. As such, we spent quite a lot of time debugging and figuring out collaborative coding practices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were glad to be able to produce what we consider to be a tangible proof of concept for our idea. We also helped each other learn alot about the different tech stacks.

What we learned

We met with many bugs and stumbling blocks along the way. We learnt to help each other and work together with a team. In the process, we got more familiar with the git workflow as well as react.
