Inspiration

Concerned about the environmental crisis, we all care about recycling, but most of the time find out that we do not know how to. Our project aims to inform about what can and cannot be recycled.

What it does

So the app aims to let the user scan the products that they want to recycle. They get a certain amount of points in the app. They can be converted into money that we can donate to the charity of their choice (we get the money from the adds in the app+ sponsors).

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

We have never done an extension and app before. It was the first time we used android studio and it was difficult to learn it in such a short time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that our application front-end is complete and has a large set of tools. Moreover, the website is very instructive and beautiful! We also are proud of the originality of the browser extension tool.

What we learned

We learned to work as a team, efficiently with GitHub! We learned to be open to new ideas quick!

What's next for Seedling

Make a data base so when we scan, it will be able to recognise the products! Plus, we want to be able to login into the extension. We also want to be able to add recycling locations in the map of the website. We also need to make adds in the app.
