Inspiration
When we were thinking of ideas I thought of something one of my local supermarkets did. They would give you a number of seeds depending on how much money you spent there. This inspired me because it was a fun way to get into gardening and build a new hobby I want to share with others. I thought this to be a good way to inspire others with gardening and make a difference to our earth planet.
What it does
Our seed paper inspires people to cultivate plants in any environment and ensures eco-friendly delivery methods. By promoting the growth of plants, we contribute to reducing carbon emissions and aligning with the SDGs’ goal of combating climate change.
How we built it
Our ideas drove our curiosity and we wanted to learn more about business creating and building brands and websites. We stumbled across Wix, which is an online website creator, to aid us in our weaker areas. Our ideas came from past experiences and seed paper is very simple to make and very useful. This made it the perfect product.
Challenges we ran into
We encountered our first challenge when we aimed to encourage numerous people to grow plants using our product. However, considering the diverse environments and climates our customers reside in, selecting a single type of plant became difficult. To overcome this, we came up with the idea of requesting relevant information from customers during the subscription process. By asking about their outdoor planting space availability and location, we gain a better understanding of their environment and can recommend suitable plant options accordingly.
Our second challenge arose when we aimed to decrease carbon emissions during the shipping process. We realized that using fuel-powered vehicles would not align with our goal of reducing carbon emissions. As a solution, we devised the idea of utilizing electric vehicles to transport our products, thereby significantly lowering carbon emissions.
