Inspiration
The web contains scattered billion-dollar business insights, but navigating them would take many lifetimes. Sonar Pro API changes this by delivering real-time, source-backed intelligence instead of only probabilistic guesses. I've always loved AI for market intelligence, and Perplexity's architecture makes validating opportunities incredibly easy.
What it does
A Go-based market intelligence service that transforms scattered web insights into actionable business opportunities. Users input sector parameters and receive structured pain point analyses with priority scores, market potential, and user stories. The frontend allows exploration, filtering, and deep-dive research, centralizing the journey from pain point discovery to MVP planning.
How we built it
Built a robust Golang API service leveraging Sonar Pro API to analyze specific sectors and return structured market data. The frontend (Vite + Supabase) consumes this API, allowing users to filter results, dive deeper into opportunities, and manage their research in one centralized platform. The API is deployed on Render for public access.
Challenges we ran into
Golang was completely new to me, so I used this hackathon to push beyond my comfort zone. Deploying a production-ready service while learning syntax and conventions simultaneously was challenging but rewarding.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Delivering high-quality, structured output that serves as a solid foundation for market research. Creating a public repository that others can clone and build upon. Successfully learning Golang while shipping a functional product.
What we learned
Golang fundamentals, syntax, and conventions. Deep dive into Sonar API capabilities. Most importantly, building with the mindset of creating something people will actually use and iterate on.
What's next for Seecare
Continuing development because iteration is crucial for this type of product. Looking forward to having my colleagues test the solution to gather feedback and iterate based on real usage. Hoping to connect with developers who use the repo and potentially collaborate. Excited to explore what the community builds with this foundation.
