Inspiration

As two secondary school students we often see and experience the results of bad planning and procrastination. However its not just students, everyone around the world seem to suffer from poor planning skills. Upon digging deeper into this topic we found out of the best ways to manage and handle tasks over time, this inspired us to use the famous Flowtime method to create a website that can help be the "time-guide" that so many people require. Be it burning out or slacking too much, Sedulatify helps everyone stay on task and stay motivated. Don't Be Busy, Be Productive.

What it does

With almost the whole world on the internet it seemed apparent that a website would have the most reach and practicality. Therefore we created Sedulatify, a solution to all our procrastination needs. Today, many fall victim either to the crutches of time, mindlessly spend hours not staying on task, or to a oversaturated timetable that inevitably ends in burnout. Using researched and backed information we implemented Flowtime into our system and can plan out and provide you with the most efficient way to do your work.

How we built it

Using HTML, Node.js and react.js on VScode

Challenges we ran into

We had many hiccups mainly due to the interactions that were disrupted by the virtual limitation. The time frame was also tight and we had to work fast. The coding part itself was fairly smooth flowing except for the backend configuration which set us back quite significantly.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We managed to, with our limited knowledge of web development, ideate and create the frontend of the website in the limited time frame. We also formulated a simple algorithm to successfully sort work and plan out a schedule.

What we learned

We learnt much about node.js, react and web designing and HTML in general. We had to work together in a virtual environment which was certainly a challenge but the experience was certainly enriching and fruitful.

What's next for Sedulatify

We plan on solidifying the backend and perfecting our algorithm for the distribution of the tasks so as to create the best possible output for the user. There are plans of adding more customised options to further personalise the experience and also including an account system to store each users information and provide a smoother experience.
