Inspiration
Scam calls, phishing messages, fraudulent emails and impersonation attacks are becoming increasingly convincing. People need more than basic warnings—they need to understand why something may be dangerous and what they can do to protect themselves. This inspired me to create Secyra AI.
What it does
Secyra AI aims to bring digital security into one Android application. Its core vision includes suspicious-number analysis, call intelligence, message and email threat detection, website and QR-code scanning, AI-powered security explanations, and a centralized security dashboard.
Its planned advanced features include ThreatGuard for enhanced threat detection and SecureCall, a dedicated audio/video calling system designed with secure communication and identity verification in mind.
How I am building it
I am developing Secyra AI as an Android-first application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with a modular architecture designed to support secure backend services and AI-assisted threat analysis. The approach combines deterministic security checks with AI explanations so users can understand the available evidence rather than relying on an unexplained AI decision.
Challenges and learning
The main challenges include reliable threat detection, false-positive reduction, privacy protection, Android platform limitations and secure integration of AI and communication services. This project is teaching me to approach cybersecurity as a combination of engineering, evidence, user control and responsible AI—not simply a chatbot that labels everything safe or dangerous.
Future vision
My goal is to develop Secyra AI into a comprehensive digital-security companion that helps people recognize threats, understand risks and take safer actions online.
