Inspiration

I started building Secyra AI because digital scams, fraud, privacy threats, suspicious calls, and malicious links are becoming increasingly common around the world. Many people still find it difficult to understand whether something they receive or interact with is safe.

I wanted to build something that could make cybersecurity easier to understand and more accessible to everyday users.

My vision for Secyra AI is to become a personal cybersecurity companion that can help protect people from a wide range of digital threats in one simple application.

What Secyra AI Does

Secyra AI is designed around the principle:

OBSERVE → ANALYZE → EXPLAIN → RECOMMEND → USER DECIDES

Some features are already implemented, including spam and fraud detection for calls, caller identification, and message-related security features.

These features are being developed and tested using real Android functionality rather than only mock demonstrations.

Other planned features, including additional scanning capabilities, AI-powered security analysis, privacy tools, and further protection features, are still under development.

The project is not fully completed yet, but I am actively working on it and intend to complete the remaining core features.

How I Built It

I am building Secyra AI as a native Android application using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, following a structured architecture designed to support the project as it grows.

The project is also designed to integrate backend services, AI capabilities, and Android security functionality so that Secyra can provide understandable explanations and recommendations instead of simply showing technical security information.

Challenges

One of the biggest challenges has been building security features that work with real Android functionality while respecting permissions, privacy, and platform limitations.

Another important challenge is making sure Secyra does not make unsupported security claims.

For example, an unknown phone number should not automatically be declared a scam without sufficient evidence. Secyra is designed to help users understand potential risks and make informed decisions.

What I Learned

While building Secyra AI, I have learned about Android development, permissions, real device data, cybersecurity, AI integration, privacy, backend services, and designing security features around real users.

I have also learned that building a cybersecurity product is not only about detecting threats. It is about presenting information clearly and helping users make better decisions.

Current Status

Secyra AI is currently an actively developing project and is not fully completed yet.

Several important features are already working, including caller identification, spam and fraud detection for calls, and message-related security features.

Several other planned features are still being developed. I am continuing to build, test, improve, and expand Secyra AI, and I am committed to completing the remaining core features.

What's Next

My goal is to continue expanding Secyra AI into a comprehensive personal cybersecurity platform.

I plan to add stronger AI-powered analysis, more advanced threat detection, additional privacy and security tools, better protection against emerging scams, and more intelligent explanations that can help users understand threats before they become victims.

In the long term, I believe Secyra AI could become a very useful tool for people around the world. Cybersecurity should not be something only technical experts understand. Everyone who uses a phone or the internet should have access to understandable and practical protection.

My vision is to keep developing Secyra AI into a reliable cybersecurity companion that can help people stay safer in an increasingly digital world.

Why It Matters

Digital threats can affect anyone, regardless of their technical knowledge or location.

Secyra AI aims to make personal cybersecurity simpler, more understandable, and more accessible. If developed successfully, it could help people identify potential threats earlier, understand why something may be risky, and make safer decisions.

This is still a work in progress, but I am committed to continuing the development and turning the vision of Secyra AI into a complete product that can be genuinely helpful to people around the world.
