Inspiration
We were inspired by the need for a simple and accessible solution that can help women feel safer in emergency situations. We wanted to create a project that can provide quick assistance and help users reach their trusted contacts when they need support.
What it does
Security4her is a women-safety platform that provides emergency assistance features. It helps users quickly access safety tools, send alerts, and share important information with trusted contacts during emergency situations.
How we built it
We designed and developed Security4her as a user-friendly web-based project. We focused on creating a simple interface with easy-to-use safety features. We integrated the required technologies and tested the different features to make the emergency workflow simple and accessible.
Challenges we ran into
One of our main challenges was designing the emergency features in a way that is quick and easy to use. We also faced challenges while integrating different features, handling location-related functionality, and making the interface responsive and reliable.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of successfully developing a working women-safety solution and bringing multiple safety features together in one platform. We also created a simple interface that can be easily understood and used during stressful situations.
What we learned
We learned how to develop a complete project from an idea, integrate different technologies, design a user-friendly interface, and solve technical problems during development. We also learned the importance of reliability, privacy, and accessibility while building a safety-focused application.
What's next for Security4her
Our next goal is to make security4her more reliable, accessible and useful in real-world emergency situation. We plan to add features such as real-time location sharing, faster emergency alerts, trusted contacts integration, improve safety guidance. We also aim to improve the platform security, user-experience and accessibility so that more women can use it confidently.
