What Inspired Me 🛡️

Security is a critical concern in today's digital landscape. As businesses increasingly rely on web applications, vulnerabilities can lead to devastating data breaches and financial losses. I was inspired to develop SecureScanPro to help businesses easily identify security vulnerabilities in their websites during the development phase, rather than discovering them after deployment when it's too late.

The goal was simple: democratize web security testing and make it accessible to businesses of all sizes through an intuitive, AI-powered platform.

What I Learned 🚀

This hackathon was an incredible learning journey that pushed me far beyond my comfort zone:

Technical Skills

  • Vibe coding: Learned how to rapidly transform ideas into working applications
  • Multi-platform integration: Successfully integrated multiple AI service providers including Bolt, Supabase, Stripe, Netlify, OpenAI, and Claude AI
  • Video production: Mastered video editing with CapCut and audio generation with elevenlabs.io in record time
  • Full-stack development: Built a complete SaaS application with payment processing and user management

Soft Skills

  • Time management: Worked 14 hours straight to wrap up the project
  • Problem-solving: Overcame multiple technical roadblocks and service limitations
  • Adaptability: Learned to pivot quickly when facing unexpected challenges

How I Built SecureScanPro ⚡

The development process was intense but rewarding:

  1. Planning: Designed the core vulnerability scanning engine with three pricing tiers (Free, Pro, Ultra)
  2. Backend Development: Integrated multiple AI services for comprehensive security testing
  3. Frontend: Created an intuitive dashboard for vulnerability reporting and management
  4. Payment Integration: Implemented Stripe for subscription management
  5. Deployment: Used Netlify for hosting and Supabase for database management
  6. Content Creation: Produced marketing videos and documentation using AI tools

The entire application was built using modern web technologies with a focus on scalability and user experience.

Challenges I Faced 💪

The development journey wasn't without its obstacles:

Financial Challenges

  • Bolt credits exhaustion: Had to upgrade twice during development, significantly increasing costs
  • ElevenLabs disappointment: Couldn't retrieve the promised free coupon code and had to pay for audio services
  • Budget management: Unexpected expenses threatened project completion. I used my OpenAI API key therefore, generating report will costs money.

Technical Roadblocks

  • Migration script issues: Bolt kept rewriting migration scripts whenever requirements changed, breaking AI features multiple times
  • Credit wastage: Lost significant time and credits debugging recurring migration problems
  • Integration complexity: Managing multiple third-party services simultaneously proved challenging

Time Pressure

  • Last-minute sprint: Started wrapping up the project just yesterday, leading to a 14-hour coding marathon
  • Learning curve: Had to master new tools like CapCut and elevenlabs.io under tight deadlines
  • Rigorous testing: As I developed the application single handedly in a very short time. I couldn't able to test my application rigorously on the payment side. Again I do not want to charge money yet as that will raise the tax calculation issue.
    ## The Backbencher's Comeback 🎯

As someone who usually works at a steady pace, this hackathon pushed me to my limits. The 14-hour straight coding session reminded me why I fell in love with programming in the first place. Despite the challenges, I genuinely enjoyed the intense problem-solving and rapid development process.

What's Next? 🌟

My plan is to launch SecureScanPro commercially at the end of this hackathon. The platform is ready for real-world deployment, and I believe it can make a significant impact in helping businesses secure their web applications.
