The rapid adoption of Industry 4.0 and smart factories has increased exposure to cyber threats targeting SCADA and ICS systems. We wanted to build a solution that ensures security without compromising operational efficiency. SecureProd protects industrial environments by monitoring network activity in real time, detecting anomalies, and securing communications to prevent cyber attacks on critical systems. We faced difficulties in simulating realistic industrial systems, limited access to datasets, and balancing detection accuracy with system performance in real-time environments. We successfully built a working prototype that detects abnormal behavior in industrial systems and demonstrates how cybersecurity can be integrated into smart factory operations. We learned about SCADA/ICS vulnerabilities, real-time threat detection, and how to combine industrial engineering with cybersecurity to build practical and scalable solutions.
