Today, users manage dozens of online accounts across banking, social media, education, healthcare, and work platforms. Due to password fatigue, many people reuse passwords or create weak credentials, making them vulnerable to data breaches, phishing attacks, and account takeovers. Our Story Imagine a college student named Arjun who uses more than 30 online services. To avoid forgetting passwords, he uses the same password everywhere. One day, a small website he registered on suffers a data breach. Since he reused the same password on multiple platforms, attackers gain access to several of his accounts. To solve this real-world problem, we developed Secure Password Manager, a cloud-based password management solution powered by AWS. The platform enables users to securely store, generate, and manage passwords in an encrypted digital vault accessible from anywhere. How AWS Powers the Solution Amazon Web Services AWS Cognito – Secure user authentication and identity management. Amazon Web Services AWS Lambda – Serverless backend for password operations. Amazon Web Services Amazon DynamoDB – Secure storage of encrypted password metadata. Amazon Web Services AWS Key Management Service (KMS) – Encryption key management. Amazon Web Services Amazon S3 – Backup and recovery storage. Amazon Web Services Amazon CloudWatch – Monitoring and security logging. Key Features Secure password vault End-to-end encryption Strong password generator Password strength analyzer Multi-factor authentication (MFA) Secure cloud backup and recovery Cross-device accessibility Impact The solution empowers users to adopt stronger cybersecurity practices without sacrificing convenience. By leveraging AWS cloud services, the platform offers scalability, reliability, and enterprise-grade security while remaining affordable for students, professionals, and small businesses.
