Inspiration
Postpartum is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding phases of a woman's life. We built Wayfourth to empower women during this transition, ensuring that no mother has to navigate the complexities of her recovery or her baby’s care alone.
What it does
AI Analysis: Our system acts as a silent observer. It analyzes patterns across multiple journal entries to identify trends in sentiment that might indicate postpartum depression or anxiety.
Reminder: The app also features a specialized reminder system that sends proactive SMS notifications for essential self-care, such as medication and hydration, helping mothers stay organized.
Baby Care Integration: A streamlined tracker allows users to log feedings and milestones, providing a centralized data source.
How we built it
Framework: Built with Next.js for frontend and API layer. Backend & Auth: Utilizes Supabase for real-time database updates and secure authentication. Intelligence: We integrated Gemini API
Challenges we ran into
AI integration using Gemini API and Finding an alternative SMS system since Twilio doesn’t fulfill what we needed
