Inspiration
What it does
We found governmental info. on crime and assault stats in the city. With the help of Web Scraping and Twitter APIs, we examined various sources of data (both people and gobernment) and processed it in order to power an iOS App. With it, you can review crime reports and access a map to stay safe on the street.
How we built it
Web Scraping, Twitter API, data processing, Firebase and Google SDKs.
Challenges we ran into
Streamlining data from the source, through the initial processing, into the database and out the iOS app.
Accomplishments that we're proud
Extracting information from Twitter and efficiently processing it.
