Inspiration
My classroom has had a lot of changes due to students being disruptive. To help out my teacher, and possibly many others who face the same issue, I created SeatSmart.
What it does
SeatSmart generates a random order based on a classes desk setup, and teachers are able to put restrictions for students who should not sit next to each other.
How we built it
The STEAM portion is a flowchart, which was built online. The video included a Google Slides.
Challenges we ran into
A challenge I ran into was figuring out how to expand the project inside schools. That's when I thought of community center events, and created a correlation for SeatSmart to be planned to fit inside all events.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
An accomplishment I am proud of it doing my first hackathon. It was an amazing experience!
What we learned
I learned how to format a flowchart, and the definition of each block. For example, rectangles show processes which occur in the code.
What's next for SeatSmart
I plan to code SeatSmart in Java when I have a larger understanding of arrays and can find a way to add the pair restrictions.
