Seasonal color analysis is trending, but finding the perfect palette and outfit recommendations? Practically unheard of! We wanted to bridge that gap and create a tool that not only discovers your unique seasonal colors but also helps you shine with personalized wardrobe suggestions.

What It Does

SeasonOfYou is your ultimate personal stylist. It analyzes your features—like skin tone, eye color, lip color, and even eyebrows—to determine your seasonal color palette. From there, it recommends a curated wardrobe for any occasion.

How We Built It

This web app was crafted with care and lots of late-night brainstorming sessions.

Frontend: Built with React for a sleek and intuitive user experience.
Backend: Powered by Supabase for seamless data handling and storage.
Authentication: Implemented using Clerk for secure and user-friendly login.
Seasonal Color Analysis: Integrated the ChatGPT-4 Vision API to analyze user-uploaded images.
- Images are Base64 encoded and processed by the API to produce tailored seasonal palettes.
Outfit Matching: Matches the seasonal palette with the user’s preferred style and occasion to provide complete outfit recommendations, including details like price and shopping links.

Challenges We Ran Into

ChatGPT-4 Vision API Limitations:
- The API doesn’t directly accept images, so we implemented a Base64 encoding workaround.
Authentication Integration:
- Configuring Clerk to provide a smooth login experience was tricky at first.
Prompt Engineering:
- Crafting precise prompts to ensure accurate seasonal color and wardrobe recommendations required fine-tuning.
