Inspiration

After having a talk about all the questions associated with online presence, we agreed that there was a lot of information surrounding the topic and a lot of different sites at our disposal. However, what if we could have all this info and resource in one place? Furthermore, we wanted to create a free and easy to use site for everyone to be able to use.

What it does

searchU creates an all-in-one place that strives to teach individuals about data security and how to keep personal data safe as well as allows users to search the web and see where their information shows up, and what they can do about it.

How we built it

We built searchU using a mix of Python and Javascript in Replit software to build the website, and utilized photoshop to make and edit images used in our site. We also used Bootstrap for the general organization and outlining of our site.

Challenges we ran into

Setting up the API for pre-existing resources as well as making customized search for specific searches. We were able to brainstorm, research and figure both issues out.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to figure out all of the challenges we ran into, being able to create a well-looking and functional website, and being able to implement all our different strengths in order to create a website in less than 24 hours.
