Inspiration

The idea for SearchLio was born out of a simple yet powerful observation: traditional search engines often compromise user privacy and fail to deliver truly relevant, real-time results. With search engines monetizing personal data and cluttering search experiences with advertisements, we wanted to create an alternative that prioritizes privacy, efficiency, and clarity.

What it does

SearchLio is a private, real-time search engine designed to help users find information quickly and securely. Unlike conventional search engines, SearchLio doesn’t require user logins, ensuring complete anonymity. As users type, our engine fetches and displays relevant results dynamically, offering an intuitive and seamless search experience without tracking or storing personal data.

How we built it

We developed SearchLio using modern web technologies to ensure speed, security, and scalability.

Frontend: Built with React.js for an interactive and responsive UI.

Backend: Powered by Node.js and Express.js to handle real-time requests efficiently.

Search Mechanism: We integrated web scraping techniques and APIs to fetch and display results in real time.

Privacy & Security: We implemented strict privacy protocols, ensuring zero data storage and anonymous browsing.
