Inspiration

I found myself frustrated after regularly typing to search the same thing across multiple websites.

What it does

This chrome extension allows you to search what you just searched on numerous other websites.

How I built it

I built this using Javascript, HTML, CSS, and the Google Chrome API.

Challenges I ran into

Achieving the precise look that I was going for by using CSS turned out to be more of a challenge than anticipated. However, it dwarfed in comparison to using the asynchronous functions that were required to interact with the Chrome browser.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm very pleased with how polished it ended up and how useful it is already turning out to be.

What I learned

In short, Javascript. Prior to this project, I had little to no knowledge of Javascript.

What's next for SearchIT

New features are to be added as their necessity becomes clear.
