Inspiration The inspiration behind SeamlessTravelX was a project on queue theory, Covenant University Shuttle Management System (CUSMS). CUSMS addressed the challenges of finding and boarding shuttles at Covenant University. Test was carried out on covenant university using CUSMS and an efficiency of 96% was obtained. Drawing inspiration from its success, we aimed to develop a similar solution on a broader scale to revolutionize the airport travel experience.
What it does SeamlessTravelX is a groundbreaking project that utilizes a Telegram bot and NFC technology to create a seamless travel experience at airports. It enables travelers to access real-time updates, personalized assistance, and flight information through the Telegram bot. Additionally, NFC technology facilitates contactless processes for check-in, boarding, and security, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free journey.
How we built it SeamlessTravelX was built using Python, mySQLite, and various APIs. The Telegram bot integration was achieved using the Telegram Bot API, allowing users to interact with the bot for personalized assistance. NFC technology was leveraged to establish secure connections between travelers' digital identity wallets and airport infrastructure, ensuring seamless information exchange.
Challenges we ran into Throughout the development process, we encountered several challenges. Integrating the Telegram bot and ensuring smooth communication between the bot and our backend systems required careful planning and coordination. Implementing NFC technology and ensuring its compatibility with existing airport infrastructure presented technical hurdles that we had to overcome.
