Inspiration
One of our teammates' family member suffer from Alzheimer's Disease. She told us the difficulties the patient and the family faced along the way, and we decided to use our power to make all Alzheimer's patients' lives and their family members' lives easier.
What it does
AlzAssistant is a personal assistant that combines reminder, facetime app, AI assistant together.
How we built it
website: html, css, javascript, photoshop video(app prototype): Figma AI customer support && info generator: Python, Cohere API, Gradio
Challenges we ran into
This is the first hackathon for all of our team members. We didn't have any experience or prior knowledge of any AI and UX/UI design. We self learned Cohere API, Figma and other tools as we built our projects.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Able to collaborate and finish the project as we envisioned from the start (finishing all the component, good UI/UX design, etc.).
What we learned
Two of us launched a website in HTML/CSS for the first time, one of us learned Cohere API and created customer support and automatic generator for the website, the other one explored figma and created app prototype. We're really proud of how we all learned new knowledge and how we managed to work together to create this amazing project with this important mission to accomplish.
What's next for AlzAssistant
- Track Location: family member can see where the Alzheimer's patient is and track the exact location of the patient.
- Naviagate to Home: Add a map function that will show the patients the way home
- Blog/News: show recent news and collected data related to Alzheimer's Disease, blogs from Alzheimer patients/family member.
