RPA and software automation projects spend a significant amount of time before development even begins. Business analysts, solution architects, developers, and QA engineers manually analyze requirements, prepare documentation, design solutions, create project structures, and write test scenarios. These repetitive activities increase delivery time, introduce inconsistencies, and delay innovation.

We envisioned SDLC Foundry as an AI-powered engineering team that accelerates the Software Development Life Cycle by orchestrating specialized AI agents. Instead of replacing developers, our solution removes repetitive work so teams can focus on building better automations while maintaining complete human governance.

What it does

SDLC Foundry is an Agentic AI platform built on the UiPath ecosystem that transforms business requirements into automation-ready deliverables.

Business Requirement Document (BRD) Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Process Walkthrough Transcript Supporting Files & Test Data

SDLC Foundry automatically:

Understands and consolidates business requirements. Generates Process Definition Document (PDD). Produces Solution Design Document (SDD). Creates a developer-ready UiPath project skeleton. Generates comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. Performs implementation readiness validation. Keeps Human-in-the-Loop approval for every critical stage.

How we built it

SDLC Foundry is built using the UiPath Agentic Automation stack:

UiPath Maestro UiPath Agent Builder UiPath Studio Web UiPath GenAI Activities UiPath Orchestrator UiPath Apps GPT / Claude LLMs Human-in-the-Loop approvals

Multiple specialized AI agents collaborate through Maestro orchestration, passing structured outputs between each stage to create an intelligent SDLC pipeline.

Current Use Case

To demonstrate SDLC Foundry, we built an Employee Salary Analysis Automation scenario.

Business Process:

Analyze BRD, SOP, transcript and sample files. Generate enterprise-ready PDD. Generate Solution Design Document. Create UiPath workflow skeleton. Produce complete testing scenarios. Validate deployment readiness.

This demonstrates how SDLC Foundry can reduce days of SDLC preparation into minutes while maintaining enterprise documentation standards.

Challenges

Some key challenges we addressed include:

Understanding business knowledge from multiple document formats. Preserving enterprise documentation standards. Passing structured outputs reliably between AI agents. Maintaining Human-in-the-Loop governance. Generating developer-ready artifacts instead of generic AI responses. Building reusable SDLC agents that can work across multiple business processes.
