We wanted to do something else originally, but then we saw the Macy's API and the $50 cash prize so we went for that. What gift.io does is it easily lets you choose if and how much to gift your friends. Front end is built with React and it utilizes Macy API and Facebook API for friends list and authentication.

It was a definitely learning experience for me. First time working with React and first time creating a merge conflict. Fun fact: I accidently set up my local repo with React Native and I didn't realize until my teammate pointed it out an hour later.

This was my first time attempting to extensively work with React. Infact, setting up my machine to develop in this environment was practically a nightmare. Fortunately as we got everything set up, the object-oriented capabilities of ReactJS allowed me to build a semi-funtioning GUI for user inputs. I worked on making multiple versions as our project changed during production. I also learned what it was like to work on a project while collaborating on git.
