Scyncd.

Inspiration

Our team enjoys producing music, and when we learned that the theme was "connection", we took the opportunity to find a way for musicians and producers to connect.

What it does

Syncd. acts as a messaging platform in which create your own profile and find and filter others' profiles in order to collaborate on projects. It also serves as a portfolio and as a portal to any supported DAW (digital audio workstation) by linking the project-based display to the projects on your software.

How we built it

We used Scratch to build out a concept model of the app; we used the basic programming to simulate the user interface of Syncd. as well as some of the features it could include.

Challenges we ran into

Due to a lack of experience, we did not have the time nor skills to build the project in full functionality. Because of this, we opted for a concept model of the app's user interface; hopefully we will be able to bring the app to full fruition in the future.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are happy with the way that the interface design itself turned out, as well as the functionality of many of the features. We are very proud of the concept itself as well.

What we learned

We learned about what is needed to build an app, including design, features, usefulness, and branding.

What's next for Scyncd.

We hope that in the future we will be able to build out the app completely in all of its functionality, because it would connect a lot of people and encourage human-created art.
