Inspiration

The 2020 pandemic has though us that people not washing their hands appropriately is one of the reasons that the virus continues to spread.

What it does

This Alexa skill will present you with a handwashing fact and help you count for 20 seconds while you thoroughly wash your hands.

How I built it

This app was build by using the Amazon Developer Console along with APL tools.

Challenges I ran into

This is my first Alexa skill, therefore I had to learn the whole Alexa interface.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of having been able to get APL on the skill and being able to figure out how to use the Alexa Developer Console.

What I learned

I learned that is is very important to think like the user because this will make the skill more smooth for our users.

What's next for Scrub Dub Dub

The next steps for Scrub Dub Dub is to make this able more interactive by adding sound effects. Adding other languages to the skill.
