Inspiration

I was looking at all the apps that help us stop scrolling, thought to ourselves, why not eliminate the competition by launching an app that keeps them scrolling, and punishes them for not doing so.

What it does

you sign up for the app with your email, verifies you, and takes a number to call for punishment as sign up, number must be verified in our database.

The extension tracks your browser to see how unproductive you were (spending time on youtube, instagram, tiktok), while also tracking your productive time (time spent on all other sites), if you spend more than 5 mins being productive, your dad will get a call from alice ( an ai psyop agent that is trying to snitch on u)

the app displays a leaderboard of who in your friend group scrolled the most (all time), and also notifies you constantly reminding you to scroll and be unproductive.

How we built it

We built it using React Native, Swift, and typescript. Building out the app, extension, ai conversational agent, automation, and integrating it all with the caller api within 36 hours

Challenges we ran into

intially we tried using apple parental control to block and track apps, but for that we needed to invest 100USD for apple developer studio and connect it through the premium conversational version of the ai agent, and caller system.

We found alternatives with free trials, symmetrical features, and work arounds to get to the final demo version

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Everything is working end to end, and we managed to complete the whole app from front to back end. We learned new tools, languages, and systems in order to make this work.

What's next for Scrollify

Buy apple developer program and be more invasive and force social media open again and again and again, untill this team wins go on hacks and gets all the internships available
