Inspiration
We built Scriptium because computer science education feels too fragmented. Students often have to switch between textbooks, coding platforms, assignments, and outside tools just to learn. We wanted to create one place where students can read, code, and get feedback all in the same environment.
What it does
Scriptium is an interactive learning platform for computer science students. It combines a coding workspace with course content and instant feedback, helping students practice coding in a more guided and organized way.
How we built it
We built Scriptium with React on the frontend and FastAPI on the backend. We used Google Cloud for deployment and designed the platform to support secure code execution, educator workflows, and scalable classroom use.
Challenges we ran into
One of our biggest challenges was balancing simplicity with technical complexity. We wanted the platform to feel easy for students while still handling secure code execution, fast feedback, and growth for larger classroom use.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud that Scriptium is more than just a coding editor. It is a learning-focused platform built to connect reading, coding, and assessment in one place.
What we learned
We learned that building for education requires more than just writing code. It requires thinking deeply about student experience, teacher needs, and how to make learning tools both helpful and scalable.
What's next for Scriptium LLC
Next, we want to improve the educator experience, expand platform features, and continue building toward a complete ecosystem for computer science education by running a pilot this summer.
