Inspiration
As generative AI and high-end CGI pipelines (Blender, Maya, Redshift) scale exponentially, render farms face unprecedented compute pressure. Yet, traditional infrastructure monitoring only reacts after disaster strikes, leading to lost render hours, thermal spikes, VRAM bottlenecks, and broken creative momentum. We were inspired to build an autonomous oversight layer that doesn't just log errors, but reasons, predicts, and executes corrective protocols autonomously.
What it does
CineOps AI is an autonomous multi-agent control room and infrastructure orchestration platform designed for high-performance compute and render farms. It features:
- Gemini Reasoning Bus: Powered by Gemini 3.6 Flash to parse operator directives and execute cluster-wide diagnostics in real time.
- Autonomous Telemetry & Diagnostics: Monitors VRAM usage, node availability, thermal limits, and frame queues.
- Chaos Engineering: Includes live chaos injection features to simulate node overheating and test automated failover resilience.
Enterprise Integration: Leverages Grafana telemetry and automated webhook incident dispatch to maintain zero downtime.
Real-Time Slack Alerts: Automatically dispatches instant incident notifications, resolution metrics, and agent execution logs directly to dedicated Slack channels before human intervention is required.
How we built it
- Frontend: Developed using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and TypeScript, delivering a high-performance, dark-mode cinematic control room interface deployed on Vercel.
- Agentic Backend: Built robust API routes integrating the Gemini API for live multi-agent reasoning and structured cluster execution logs.
- Observability: Integrated Grafana service architectures for comprehensive telemetry and system tracking.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing real-time agent responsiveness with serverless API route constraints required careful optimization of our backend payload handling. Additionally, designing a UI that captures a high-stakes "cinematic control room" aesthetic while maintaining absolute clarity and readability under live stress conditions required iterative design refinements.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Successfully deploying a fully functional, production-grade autonomous agent platform with real-time AI reasoning integration.
- Achieving seamless integration between live user inputs, quick diagnostic action buttons, and live Gemini-powered terminal logs.
- CineOps AI leverages Google Cloud's Gemini engine as the core autonomous reasoning bus to query and act upon Grafana MCP telemetry.
What we learned
We gained deeper mastery over multi-agent orchestration patterns, serverless API optimization, and designing high-stakes enterprise telemetry dashboards focused on operational reliability.
