Inspirations : YCP, Slenderman, Five Nights at Freddy's
What it does: Screamer goes looking for you and puts you into an unwinnable battle if you're caught. Over time, the more you're caught, the harder the final boss fight is.
How we built it: RPG Maker MZ with Visustella plugins using licenses already owned by our team. We used PixilArt to construct the art for the game
Challenges we ran into- Limitations of the engine, unfamiliarness with the engine from most of the team, getting to know each other while working
Accomplishments that we're proud of : Pixel art, Mostly-working AI prototype, Mapping Kinsley Engineering center, coming together as a team with no notice.
What we learned: How to push the boundaries of the RPG Maker Engine, Scripting using Java script, formatting pixel art for use in RPG Maker, how to work collaboratively in an offline engine.
What's next for Screamer Chase: Not too sure, I would like to go back eventually and fix the AI while also mapping out the rest of the locations. Maybe we'll release it as a free download to YCP students
