I was inspired to create Scrapy after noticing how much stationery and paper go to waste, even when they’re still perfectly usable. Looking around my own desk, I found notebooks with one or two torn pages in them, scraps of decorative paper, and unused supplies that could have helped someone else with their schoolwork or craft projects. That sparked the idea of building a platform where people could give these items a second life. While working on Scrapy, I learned how to think like a user, focusing on design, clarity, and ease of use rather than just building something that works. One of the biggest challenges I faced was getting the images to display properly and making sure every page looked consistent and styled the way I envisioned. I also had to figure out how to make the project easy to run on any computer, especially for people who don’t have everything already installed. Despite the technical and design hurdles, the process was incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to have created something that supports both sustainability and creativity.
