Inspiration
The inspiration from this idea was a game birthed through an extremely tough time: wordle.
What it does
You are given a scrambled word and you must decipher it to get the correct word. Be quick, you are on time!
How we built it
We built it with repl.it with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges that we ran into is using the buttons as a selection tool. Rather than having a drop down menu (that looked pretty ugly and was a bit hard to work with based on our criteria) we used a series of buttons in order to determine which sort of item that the user wants. This was difficult to work with, because the amount of selections that the user has to do has to be coded. Adding on to that, we also had difficulties in accessing the different lists of categories of words.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One accomplishment that we are proud of is our teamwork and the fact that our game started working in the end. Although we are a bit down because we couldn't finish all of the things that we wanted to (different themes, backgrounds, text fonts, music, and etc. that will help with user compatibility :D)
What we learned
Something that we learned through the troubles that we faced is that all problems are seen through the console. Through the console, we can see where all of the problems are and how we can fix it.
What's next for Scrambel
Some things that are next for scrambl is adding more repositories for word categories for the game, as well as building on user compatability with different themes, backgrounds, text fonts, music, and etc.
