Inspiration

We brainstormed some polar opposite concepts for a while, one combination we'd never heard combining cooking with horror, so we decided to make a cooking horror game.

What it does

In this game you work at a poke bowl place and serve monster customers, if you get the order wrong, you'll be jump scared.

How we built it

We used Godot as our game engine and Aseprite and Clip Studio Paint for the graphics.

Challenges we ran into

Merge conflicts in the code / issues with git, not enough time for detailed artwork, we also lacked time to further polish the game.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • All the art and animations for our game were custom made during the hackathon only.
  • We worked with code and sprites to create a compelling game
  • We did not cut corners on anything: we have working sound effects, custom graphics and game logic. ## What we learned How to work together in a group while diving the coding related tasks to avoid causing errors or compatibility issues. ## What's next for SCPoké
  • We will complete the game, add more mechanics, more characters.
  • We will further polish the game so that it truly is a fully finished product.
  • In the future it might be refined and be posted onto Steam.
