Inspiration: What really inspired me was the way data was always scattered or all over the place for these esports and what actually made me ignore this side of gaming. But when I heard about it, I saw this as an opportunity to make these statistics easy to understand and hopefully help coaches improve their teams.

What it does—basically, this tool give calculated history of match analysis, trends and comparisons for, let's say, pundits who are having discussions, or even content creators, a simple tool to reduce ambiguity for their viewers or coaches who want a straight-to-the-point evaluation of their opponents to reduce time used in going through PDFs.

How I built it: I really want to thank God for the inspiration and understanding. Taking a look at the esports industry, I could underline some key factors like speed and agility—being able to make fast, accurate clicks—and understanding the map like the back of your hand and even a lot of strategies. SO i knew that players would not be able to use this tool as much but the coach would, so I looked for a tech stack that prioritized speed and clear understanding of stats to sum it all up—something fast and easily understandable.

Challenges we ran into: Using the Junie was a big plus even though I did not end up finishing the project with it, maybe because it was my first time using an AI assistant, and I mostly feel I wasted the credits because I drafted two different times before sticking with one. Another problem was that i had to learn Go programming language, GraphQL, and many other things

Accomplishments that I'm proud of: that i was able to finish the project before the deadline because i was really confused; I learned how to prompt AI properly in order to get the most out of it rather than one-shot prompts with zero context and specificity

What we learned: Prompting skills improved, how to tailor code for specific cases like speed and efficiency, and creating and writing documentation.

What's next for Scouter? Scouter has a lot of future possibilities in esports, like implementing the live stream grid. GG API to give players and coaches active feedback in matches and tournaments to aid them. Another is like creating online courses for people who would want to become esports champions in the future. Altogether making Scouter a much smarter tool, helping coaches and players.
