Inspiration
Score Milk was started in 2020 with the vision of bringing competitive gaming to the masses using blockchain technology. To this day, gamers are not being attracted to the games currently offered on Web 3.0. The games being built for web3 are simply not what gamers enjoy playing. Score Milk is building the gaming infrastructure that will allow the fun web2 games to easily transition to web3. Currently, competitive gaming, in the form of eSports, is limited to a very small percentage of the gaming population. Score Milk will change the gaming world by allowing all gamers to compete and monetize their skills on any competitive or score-based game. If you like Street Fighter, now you can easily challenge your friends for a quick battle. This is a huge market that has yet to be established. Score Milk is poised to be the pioneer of this evolution of gaming. Score Milk wants to do for gaming what Draftkings and FanDuel did for gambling. Bring competitive gaming to the masses!
What it does
Score Milk provides an SDK to allow existing competitive Web2 games to transition to Web 3.0 using just a few lines of code. Score Milk allows skill-based gaming using a community centric moderation system as well as a patent pending bot deterrence solution. The platform is built with a focus on connecting gamers, game developers, gaming communities, and guilds. It also provides an alternate monetization model that rewards gamers, game developers, and communities every time a game is played. This is a sustainable economic model.
How we built it
We utilize a micro services architecture for scalability. We are currently integrated with Polygon and Tron. We are very interested in being an integral part of the Polygon network as we feel Polygon has a very bright future.
Challenges we ran into
Skill-based gaming will always encounter the problem of individuals using bots and AI to try to beat their opponents. As a result, Score Milk has a patent pending solution for skill-based gaming that injects human-only readable content into gameplay element. This patent was filed in April 2021. This, in conjunction with a community moderation system, allows for fair gameplay.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Building a solution that addresses some of the biggest barriers to blockchain gaming adoption. We allow any fun competitive game to integrate with Score Milk and utilize our payment modules and reward system. We allow for fun games to easily become blockchain games. Games need to be fun. Why not allow existing fun and addictive games to utilize blockchain technology for competitive gameplay.
What we learned
We learned that blockchain gaming has a lot of challenges. Nonetheless, a good team can overcome these challenges with creativity and perseverance.
What's next for Score Milk
Our next goal is to grow our network and establish ourselves, with the help of our strategic partners and investors, at the forefront of this next evolution of competitive gaming.
We are currently working on integrating existing games and partnered communities into our ecosystem.
Open Source: Due to the 2-year head start that we have, we are not able to provide access to our source code. We would gladly have a zoom meeting to do a screen share and go over our code.
