Project Overview

Starting out in the AI agent space can be overwhelming and confusing. To solve this for myself and other beginners, I built a navigation tool designed to simplify the learning curve and help users study with confidence.

What I Learned & Built

Building this project taught me that successful AI development relies on three core pillars: defining clear objectives with actionable task lists, troubleshooting unexpected production issues, and maintaining thorough documentation. Working with OpenAI Codex and following the project instructions from Devpost, I translated these principles into a practical application.

Challenges & How I Overcame Them

My biggest technical hurdle occurred when my local development server timed out (ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT). After digging through documentation and guides, I identified the root cause: an unresolved networking conflict between my local server and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). To resolve it, I saved my current state, terminated the WSL connection, restarted my environment, and restored progress from a clean checkpoint before pushing the project to completion.
