Students today struggle with procrastination, distraction, and inconsistent study habits. Even with reminders and study apps, many fail to stay disciplined. We wanted to build something that actually changes behaviour, not just schedules tasks. That’s why we created ScholarVault—a system inspired by psychology, gamification, and the idea of turning discipline into a fun, high-stakes game.

What it does

ScholarVault reduces procrastination using Staking Privileges, AI learning support, and game mechanics. Students stake digital Utility Vouchers (like gaming time or app access) before starting a task. If they finish on time—they keep them. If they fail—the vouchers move into a Community Success Fund, boosting rewards for consistent students. It also includes an AI Tutor that summarizes notes, creates flashcards, suggests videos, and checks submissions for completeness. A holographic Vault shows progress through snapping chains, and Squad Mode + Leagues keep students motivated daily.

How we built it

We designed the UI with Figma, implemented the frontend using Base44’s no-code tools, and used API integrations for AI task verification and content generation. Utility Vouchers and staking logic were created using simple back-end rules and a points system. Gamified components like the Vault, Squads, and Leagues were built through modular screens and progress engines.

Challenges we ran into

Designing a system that is motivating but not stressful

Making AI verification accurate for different types of homework

Creating a staking system without using real money

Balancing the gamification so it stays fun, not overwhelming

Making the UI smooth within the hackathon time limit

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully creating a working prototype of the staking system

Building an AI assistant that can summarize, generate flashcards, and verify submissions

Designing a futuristic Holographic Vault UI

Creating a Squad and League structure that motivates students

Turning a complex behaviour-change idea into a simple, usable app

What we learned

How to combine psychology and technology to change habits

How to build structured gamification with real impact

How to design clean user journeys in Base44

How to integrate AI tools into a real product

The importance of fast prototyping and teamwork under pressure

What's next for ScholarVault

We plan to add:

A mobile app version

More detailed AI feedback for assignments

Parent dashboards with insights

Daily streak rewards, avatars, and premium Vault skins

A large-scale Community Mode where schools compete globally
