Inspiration

Since there is a scarcity of pure water for living beings is thus expected to be a major threat in the coming years because the population is also increasing exponentially. which lead me to do prototype of this.

What it does

Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) in water purification use highly reactive hydroxyl radicals to break down contaminants. AOPs are effective for treating complex contaminants, including pharmaceuticals and industrial waste, and can achieve complete mineralization.

How we built it

To treat water using an AOP reactor, we select the appropriate AOP technology based on pollutants and treatment goals. Design and install the reactor system with necessary equipment like catalysts and UV lamps. Implement pre-treatment to remove impurities, operate the reactor while monitoring parameters, and conduct post-treatment to address remaining by-products. Maintain and optimize the system for consistent and efficient water treatment.

Challenges we ran into

Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOP) reactors face several challenges. High initial costs and significant energy requirements for components like UV lamps can be substantial. The operation demands precise control and continuous monitoring to ensure efficiency. Additionally, managing residual by-products often requires further treatment. Scaling the system for large volumes or diverse pollutants can be difficult, and catalysts used in AOPs may lose effectiveness over time, necessitating regular replacement. Variability in water quality can also impact the overall performance of the treatment process.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

WE HAVE SUCESSUFULLILY MADE OUR TESTING IN TREATING DYES OF DIFFERENT DOMAIN, BOTH SYNTHETIC AND NATURAL DYES BY USING OUR PROTOTYPE.
