Inspiration
We realized that we need a calculator that provides chemistry and physics problems with step-by-step solutions. Many other services like Mathway and Chegg need you to pay in order to get step-by-step solutions, so we decided to solve that by making this website.
What it does
The user can pick a concept and the website will provide you with a summary and a calculator that gives you a step-by-step solution.
How we built it
We built it in Visual Studio code using HTML, Javascript, CSS with minimal prior knowledge.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into multiple debugging problems because we barely knew any of these languages and had to spend most of our time trying to figure out why it is not working. The CSS would not load as we called the file incorrectly so we fixed it afterward. If CSS is not loading or file is not found, try reloading
Accomplishments that we're proud of
we were proud of being able to integrate javascript, HTML, and use CSS to make our very first successful website within the short deadline
What we learned
We learned Javascript, teamwork, HTML, and CSS on the go and from minor before-hand experience
What's next for ScienceWhiz!
We want to reach out to more people, grow the website with more concepts and subjects and hopefully polish some of the CSS
