Inspiration
This project was created because in our time in online learning we have encountered many challenges during this time that have delayed and decreased the amount of time we have to learn. Many of these times, it was because a teacher didn't understand how to do a certain thing such as sharing a link to Zoom to all their students.
What it does
This website is a how-to-guide to many different popular online resources being used at this time, so the less technologically advanced teachers are able to use all the resources available to them.
How we built it
We built it using HTML and CSS but not javascript since this is our first time creating a website because we mainly do back-end coding with java. We used the platform Repl.it to write all our code.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into were being able to format it properly. On our home page, we had wanted the different sections to be somewhat equal in size, but we were, unfortunately, unable to do this very well. We also had trouble figuring out what would make our website look as professional as possible.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Accomplishments we're proud of are being able to format all our images in the home page neatly, and being able to link them to our different pages.
What we learned
We learned how to use HTML and CSS to make a website. We also learned how to use special features such as rows and columns and buttons to make it more fun.
What's next for SchoolforTeachers
We want to make our website look more professional, and add a place where people can make a suggestion by entering in the name of the resource they want a guide to, and their email. We also want to add more cool features like a bar at the top that lets you navigate to different pages, or having the images move when you hover over them.
