Schools spend hundreds of hours every month on repetitive administrative workâattendance, timetable management, homework, report cards, fee management, parent communication, and academic planning. Most existing school management systems are digital record-keeping tools rather than intelligent assistants.
I wanted to build an AI-native School Operating System that helps schools automate these repetitive workflows so teachers can spend more time teaching and less time on paperwork.
The School Management Platform is an AI-powered operating system for educational institutions.
It provides:
- AI Teacher Assistant
- Smart attendance management
- Homework and assignment management
- Student and parent portals
- Timetable management
- Marks and report card management
- School administration dashboard
- AI-powered insights and automation
- Role-based access for principals, teachers, students, and parents
The goal is to reduce administrative workload while improving communication, efficiency, and the overall learning experience.
I built the platform as a solo developer using Claude Code as my primary AI development partner.
Claude helped accelerate architecture decisions, backend development, frontend implementation, debugging, database design, and rapid feature iteration.
The application is built using modern web technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Supabase, PostgreSQL, Prisma, and Vercel.
Designing a scalable architecture that supports multiple user roles while keeping the platform intuitive was one of the biggest challenges.
Another challenge was integrating AI into real educational workflows instead of adding AI features that felt gimmicky.
