Inspiration

We've seen many students not know who to go to for certain needs, such as tutoring and mental help. This resource will give students a place to go for any issue.

What it does

School-In-One is a python-based tool that will help students gain easy access to a network of support, controlled and monitored by school officials and teachers. Support includes tutoring help, reporting conflicts, mental counseling help, and class scheduling. Students will open up a support ticket that will be sent by email to a specific advisor or teacher for further review. This support ticket will ask the student what they need help with, and the student can upload an image, pdf, or a text response, which will be sent to a specific advisor depending on their response.

How I built it

We learned about new libraries used to send emails and upload images to a Python program using Google, and applied the skills we already had to create this program. We split up different parts of the program to different people.

Challenges I ran into

We had a very hard time finding out how to connect emails and a Python program and upload images on a Python program.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Figuring out how to email and upload photos from a Python program was amazing. It really boosted our confidence as we never applied Python to a real application.

What I learned

We sharpened our Python programming skills in many ways and found out how to work with others on a coding project, which we may be doing for a large period of our futures.

What's next for School-In-One by Abhinav B, Pranav A, Surya S and Anvith V.

We will keep finding ways to develop our program, and we will try to learn swift in order to make this program into an iOS app.
