School Development Fund collecting platform using monday.com

Inspiration

This is an idea that suddenly came up to my mind when I went to monday.com CRM platform. I did some research on google about CRM and thought how we can make this platform useful for a School Administration.

What it does

It's a simple CRM project that we can use to keep a track about payments for School Funds. Every year, our teachers work really hard to collecting receipts issued by the bank to keep a track of our class, how much student did pay? how much didn't? So, it's a quite hard work for the teachers, sectional heads and principles etc. So, I created a group for each section and give a student's parents information (email and the number). So, if they pay the funds, the teacher or the School's Administrator can mark it very easily plus they will know how much students paid the funds on each class and total amount at the bottom. I had another idea for this project, but I couldn't implement it on your platform which was if we can link the online bank transactions for this CRM, then we can automate fully functionality of it. For that, I used Monday Money that created by Crypto Charlie which he informed me via a comment.

For example, if a parent pays the funds to the bank using the online banking app (but the account has to be assigned to the relevant group), then the status will automatically change Paid.

How I built it

I built it using the CRM platform created by monday.com which is totally user friendly. It took me about 4 hours of hard work to create this and I had to get the trial version monday.com

Challenges I ran into

The main challenge that I ran onto was Time. I knew about this Hackathon yesterday night and my wi-fi package was over. So, I have to use hotspot form my dad's phone.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

The biggest accomplishment that I am proud about this is my first Hackathon that I actually submitted a project.

What I learned

I never knew what is CRM was before this hackathon. So, that's the main thing that I learnt from this mainly.

What's next for School Development Fund collecting platform using monday.com

It's really good if we can implement this system in Schools.
