Inspiration
We were inspired by our daily problems and challenges at the beginning of the school year, as well as a few previous coding projects.
What it does
Our project is a wide-ranged utility program that aims to assist students in their daily endeavours. We included features like an MVHS navigator, direct internet connections to the school schedule and Canvas webpage, as well as a few options for de-stressing.
For our navigation feature, we envisioned a google maps-esque functionality that was tailored specifically towards high school students struggling to find their classes and activities. Those unfamiliar with our school often have a problematic and strenuous time navigating the campus, and our buildings are often arranged counterintuitively. Acquiring a path to pursue is incredibly advantageous to the punctuality of school and continuous learning of its pupils.
Our stress relinquishing methods involve a hobby board, a game board, a couple of mini-games, and a number of entertaining easter ova. In addition, with the incorporation of Gen Z culture, we believe that our online application is fit for all high school users. It delivers a comfortable user interface and a familiar ambience. The hobby and game boards equip the users with an opportunity to socialize and connect with their peers through a variety of common interests. With an increase in student relations across our educational foundation, we are capable of developing a deeper impression of community and making a more inviting environment for our fellow students and the broader Mountain View High School community. Doth not procure illegal medications, else guilt shalt be bestowed upon thee.
How we built it
We used repl.it with css/js/html to build our functional website
Challenges we ran into
We didn't know how to use html at the beginning of the day, but we used all of our resources and tools to figure it out as we went.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud of all of our buttons!!!
What we learned
We learned about the class system of html, as well as the general process of coding.
What's next for School Cool
