Inspiration:
The Student Government challenge of the hackathon.
What it does:
Currently creates a list of assignments and prints them back organized and creates a poll when prompted.
How we built it:
Through Repl.it and following lots of tutorials.
Challenges we ran into:
None of us knew how to code in Python at the beginning of this project. We knew what we were doing in general, but the specifics of the language tripped us up many times.
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
While the bot isn't advanced, we all learned how to use Python with more competence and are proud of this bot that we can continue to grow and use in personal servers after the Hackathon.
What we learned:
Mainly how to code in Python.
What's next for School Bot:
Adding more functions, like 'throwing' a syllabus at peers who ask simple questions, perhaps statistics of the polls if possible, manipulation of roles to make channels for specific sections of classes, and whatever else we can think to add.
