Inspiration
Our focus is on improving personal wellness through helping with studying. Studying is all about the quality, not quantity. Depending on the subject and how the user is feeling on a day-to-day basis, the optimal study session changes. Taking breaks is important for effective studying, but just ‘breaking from the subject’ is different from truly resting. That is why we designed ScholarSprout, to generate the optimal schedule tailored for the user, based on their study habits and preferences.
What it does
The program generates a personalised, optimal study schedule based on the user's answers to questions regarding study habits.
How we built it
We prompted AI to generate code for the program.
Challenges we ran into
We are not really well-versed with coding/building programs, so the more complex codes we had to ask AI to generate for us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The ScholarSprout program works as intended, albeit not for all amounts of study time inputted (does not work for more than 10 hours).
What we learned
We learned that merely having the idea of a program is not enough; actually building it takes a lot more time and effort than we expected.
What's next for ScholarSprout
Ideally, a timer feature will be added to ScholarSprout so that it tracks that the user is studying according to the schedule and can lock the screen or make the study content unaccessible when a break starts/is going on.
